Today was our 2nd night of league, we played at Acorn in Roseville and it was brisk, overcast and tree-central. There were a couple of birdies, double and triple bogies and few decent putts. Below you can see Zach making a pretty good putt. Jake won tonight (again), which is great but let's keep in mind that that only gives him 2 pts., so look out Jake! We had to look for Jake's sidewinder and Zach's destroyer for quite a while on separate holes, Mark's star SL went into the edge of the water and he got his shoes muddy getting it.(Mark have you cleaned your shoes since?) On hole 18, I threw my new groove and hit a tree, then couldn't find it for like 10 mins. until some guy pointed out that it was stuck on top of a tree. With all of this, it was still a lot of fun (thanks to Zach bringing those ranch flavored sunflower seeds), I love being outdoors with my friends and playing disc golf.
Zach making his putt. No wraith this time ;)
Jake enjoying some sunflower seeds and probably talking with some sort of voice that sounds like this, "eeeerrr, gimme all your money"
Well, today was our first official 'league night', we played at Rosland. It was like 90˚ and extremely windy (20-40mph winds) but we all played surprisingly well given the wind circumstance. There were some good birdies tonight, a few windy bogey and oh yeah, there was a triple bogey too, but we won't talk about that. The competition was tight throughout the whole round, which is really fun and made for some aggressive playing. Zach and Jake tied with scores of 57 at the end of 18 holes, so they had to have a sudden death play off. They played holes 1, 2 and 3 and were still tied. They both missed their birdie putts on hole 3, then they got to hole 4 and Jake was able to get into putting range and win the round. I'm really excited for the season and seeing everyone progress and become better! Highlights:Mark had a great drive on hole 5 which was out in the open and windy, he birdie'd it. Zach also had a really nice drive on hole 8 for a gimme' putt for birdie. After the tie-breaker, we all threw one last drive on hole 5 on our way back to the car. Jake's drive was a straight-shooter and went really deep and hit the number plate on the top of the basket! Almost an ace, oh well, he's an acehole anyways.
Hole 18 - Jake and Zach are tied. That white disc by the basket looks like a good drive ;)
Hole 3 - Zack misses his birdie putt.
Hole 3 - Jake can't handle the pressure and misses his birdie putt also, it fell out of the basket.
